Go for it girl and make it good for you. That is where the top designers get their inspiration from, everyone else. I think most designers expect a little change (i.e. initial's, colors, etc) in their originals anyway. A few months ago, Alma showed one of <a href="http://blackbird-designs.blogspot.com/2010/07/quick-update-about-sweet-alabama.html" rel="nofollow">Barb’s works in progress</a> on <a href="http://blackbird-designs.blogspot.com/" rel="nofollow">her blog</a> that used a <a href="http://www.needleartworks.com/stv/nwsltr/page3.pdf" rel="nofollow">Workbasket freebie</a> as a jumping off point and then Barb was adding elements and a border around it.
