I Can't Count!!!!

Dag Nab It, Cussy cussy cussy, swear swear swear, stomping my feet, grump grump grump, scream!!!

Look what I did!

Do you see it? That crow is 14 stitches too HIGH!! No wonder I was off so badly on the borders! An inch too many stitches. I had stitched the the bottom of that section (the row under the word crow) and thought I needed to stitch the crow area again. And I never noticed until I started putting that bad boy in!!! UGH!

There is no way in **** I'm ripping this all out. The only thing I can think of is to take the crow himself out and put him at the bottom of his section as he should be and add another bird house above him.

DH just said I could add another branch under him and have the crow sit on that. I thought if I moved him down and maybe moved the branch down too... or make his legs a bit longer...

Ladies - is there anything you can suggest to remedy this MASSIVE mistake???

Guess it's time to pull out one of those new patterns I received and work on it a bit. Because otherwise, I will wake the household with my screaming!!!

Going back to my hole now. Stomp, stomp, stomp!

I'm with DH. Just add a branch under him - since it is the middle section, it won't look like it should have perfectly matched the other two - and lengthen his birdhouse, Just keep it all in proportion, and it'll turn out fine!

I feel your pain, but sorry, I am no help as to the solution....I would probably throw it away & start over.....

I feel your pain.

I like your husband's idea of adding a branch below. I think that will work well since the crow is the center one. Just flip over the branch design you alrady have. You might want to make the flower on the left a little bit taller since you have more space above it than you do above the other two.

Good luck.

Oh no!! I, for one, have been in similar situations. So frustrating!!

Since the crow is in the middle, I think it would look okay to adjust him. Move him down a little, add a branch, they all sound like they would work!

You'll figure it out - and your piece will be distinctly yours!

Oh Denise, I think I would just give up , no I know I would give up on this piece. But I can't wait to see how it turns out for you.
Happy Stitching

Oh I am so sorry. I am still upset over being a thread off on my last piece. Do what your heart wants to do so that you will be happy with the piece.

When I saw your post I knew what was up . . and I immediately had the same idea as DH . . . no one will know except those you tell . . .it will give the piece a symmentrical look.

I am so sorry for you. If it was me it would be across the room. I don't have any answers I'm afraid but probably do what your dh says.

Bless your heart... Most of my stitching is uniquely my own! I like the idea of moving him down a bit to sit on another branch since he is the central character. It will be fine - stitch on!

I hope the stomping, grumping, and cursing made you feel better. I've been known (in the past) to throw Jesus (the old one) across the room, lol. It made me feel better!! I would suggest putting another branch beneath him. If you tear him out, you'll have little black fuzzies all over your fabby, and they a real PITA to get out. I know, I had to frog on Monopoly and it was horrible. So try not to frog him. Put another branch under him, or maybe put another box and chart yourself the word black so it says black crow. Good luck with it!!!!!

I'd go ahead and stitch it like are you doing and when I got done with the whole thing, I'd decide how to handle the "blank" areas. I like the idea of charting the word black in a box above "crow". or another branch would work. I would NOT frog though....way too much work!

I can feel the pain from this :) OMG, I think I would have been practising my "pitching" again if this happened to me! I like the idea of putting a branch underneath the bird too.

Oh Denise! How awful and I can just imagine your frustration :o( I like the idea of putting another branch under the crow. Otherwise, I would just throw the whole thing out and start again or rip, rip, rip. But that's just me ;o)
