Keeping Bryce and the Genealogy Room ~

I've got Bryce this morning. Only the second time I've got to keep him. So, of course, I took his picture -

The big boy was 9 weeks old Monday. He has a scowl going on and I tease him that if he doesn't stop it he will be wrinkled by 3! Bryce insisted on eating upon arrival and then promptly filled his diaper. Tried to explain that he is to save that for his mommy. Then we had to eat more. As of right now - he's sitting beside me contemplating a nap.

Promised pictures of the new genealogy room. The chairs arrived a week ago...this post a a bit tardy.

View from the door facing the south east corner.
Managed to keep the wall color the same - which was important to me. I have a stenciled saying above the door and I really didn't want to remove it.

The south west corner
The wire picture hanger is on the west wall. It has some of my group family pictures that I made for the Christmas tree of 2012. If you look closely - the photo albums are on the bottom shelf of the filing cabinet. My office chair doesn't have a home - it's taking a rest here.

Family Wall
Hard to believe this wall is only our immediate family. Eight siblings between Rob and I. Can you imagine if I added all the aunts and uncles?

North Wall
Sorry for the reflections! These photos are of Newcomerstown throughout the ages. The bottom right corner is from the Flood of 1913. Other pictures range from 1907 - 1974. It took a couple of weeks to find them and then enlarge them to 5x7. Was able to get frames from Wal-Mart for $1 each. The great thing about this arrangement - if I find more photos - I can add to it for next to nothing. And using velcro makes it so easy to change my mind!

My grandparents had a dairy bar from the '50's until the late 70's when my uncle bought it out. The 2nd row far right picture is of the old Mathews' Dairy before it moved across the Tuscarawas River.

My Hometown
These are some pictures that were of an unusual size. Found the clips in Roscoe Village and thought they added a nice touch to the room.

But, the sad part - I haven't gotten to use it with my sister. She's been incredibly busy and we haven't gotten together. It is a nice, quiet, and warm room to relax in!

Happy Hump Day - stay inside and stay warm. Soon, the super cold weather will break. I hope anyway - the river is clogged with ice! eek.

Sweet baby Bryce - I'm not so sure he's scowling. I think he may be pondering something very important (I just don't know what :))

Love the room! But am I the only one wondering what the saying is above the door?

Baby Bryce is a cutie pie! Yes, inquiring minds want to know what the saying is over the door! The room looks great! Off to corner hubby about frames! Hugs!
