"Oh Bother!"

I went and forgot my blogversary A-G-A-I-N!
Three years have passed, many friends found,
much stitching done, and many more years to come!

My stitchy stash arrived this morning! Woo-hoo! Going to buy more floss in a few moments.

This is the Fall Collection of floss, 10 colors of 1/2" ric-rac, and freebies champagne cluny lacy and mini pumpkin ric-rac. Going to have to get more ric-rac for my Santas. I see many happy days finishing in front of me.

I will say the floss is a little more of a solid color than I expected but I am so in love with the colors that I can't wait to get off the computer and go stitch.

And, the organizational part of me sees - more snack bags, labels, and another ring or two in my future. :) Maybe a whole new box?? giggle giggle giggle.

But, that means shopping...and I still can't get my shoe on! :( Never told you about my clutzy moment last Tuesday. DH and I were working on the flooring. He had put a 4' hard wood board against the boxes. I was pulling wood out of the boxes and had an empty. Never thinking I pulled the empty box and sent the 4' board sliding. It guillotined my left foot across the top. I still have dark bruising, swelling, and some pain 11 days later. I did go to the doctor (gasp - me?!?!) and the x-rays show no breaks. But, he did tell me there is muscle and tendon damage that will take some time to repair itself. Wonder if DH would know what I want if I sent him into Jo-Ann's? Nah, I'll wait for the new box -- I'll get the floss ready first!

Hard to believe another weekend is upon us! Hope everyone is experiencing some spring like weather. Here in Ohio - we are to hit the 60's this next several days. Slept with the window open last night. Awoke to 53 degrees in the bedroom and the fan on - bliss.

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Blogoversary Denise! Those threads look yummy and I can see why you are itching to use them!! Ouch! That sounds like that hurt. Good thing your foot isn't broken but muscle/tendon damage isn't very good either :( Rest easy!

Sorry about the foot Denise. Hope it heals quickly. I love the new floss you got. What brand is it? I can't read the labels.

Oh those colors are beautiful, very nice. Hope your foot gets better quick, but this should allow you more stitching time!?

Yes, beautiful day here in southwestern ohio too, but much colder last night.

Happy 3rd Blogversary! The cluny lace and ric-rac look gorgeous, makes me want to go buy some. Hope your foot heals fast, but in the mean time now you have a good reason to put your feet up and stitch.
Happy Stitching

Is that Victorian Motto floss and trims? I do like her stuff! No biggie on forgetting... I did too, and last year too! But Happy After anyway! Blogging has been fun but lately, kind of lax about posting. I hope to get back on it soon. Taxes are done. Just have to do spring cleaning... Sigh... Have fun with the new stash! Hugs!

So sorry to hear about your foot. At least it will heal and if you have to sit then stitching is a wonderful way to pass the time hehehehe. Those colors are beautiful I can't wait to see what you do with them. The warm temps have finally hit PA so tomorrow is clean the back yard day! Oh Boy!

Happy blogoversary!

The floss and ric rack is gorgeous.

Sorry you're still having problems with your foot. A couple of summers ago (just before a trip "back home" to OH), I rammed my foot against a basket full of stitching mags. Ouch! I didn't think much about it at the time and we went on our merry way.

I discovered the joys or wearing flip flops at the airport. I also sported a very swollen and black and blue foot. Discovered hiking on it wasn't a good idea. ;-)

I waited over 2 weeks to go get it checked out. Doc and I decided since the treatment would be the same whether I'd broken it or not (for sure I dislocated my pinkie toe) opted not to xray it. (I'm thinking I broke the toe and probably a metatarsal.)

It took me most of the summer before I could get a shoe on...right before starting summer band camp where I volunteered every day.

I'm such a klutz!

So Mom went into the ER one evening with a NASTY purplish, blue green bruise forming on her upper foot . . and swollen to beat the band.

ER Nurse asks her what happened. She and Dad start laughing, even though she was in pain, she was laughing.

Come to find out, she had been standing by the kitchen cupboards and Dad, somehow, turned around and knocked one of those Big Ass cans of tomatoes off the counter and right on her foot.

Standard joke for years was that Dad didn't beat Mom, he just, strategically, knocked cans off the counter onto her . . . LOLOL

That foot, too, wasn't broken, but it seemed like forever until the bruising finally was totally gone.

If it were me, I would use the "I can't get my shoes on" excuse for the next 10 or more years . . I HATE shoes of any kind.
