BFE??

I don't know about you but my family uses the term "BFE". To me it means someplace far away - usually inaccessible. Imagine my surprise yesterday when the mailman delivered this.

Not only is there a place that is BFE but they have satellite connections and solutions. And BFE is only 40 miles or so from my house. Hmm, I knew Carrollton, OH was a bit in the backwoods but I wouldn't have called it BFE.

Ok - we have now established I have lost my friggin mind and I am totally bonkers. Maybe this winter has been a tad bit too long. Although, that snowstorm we were to have was a M-A-J-O-R disappointment! We were predicted to have from 4-8". Ha, we had enough to cover the ground.

Had told Mary Jane that I did a new organizational thing to my floss. Then I promptly forgot to tell her how it went. I keep my spare skeins of DMC in snack bags. And the snack bags live in photo boxes. I kept them separated by large index cards. Well, this has been a pain in my heiney. I must pull out the entire group of floss and paw through it to find if I have an extra skein of a particular color. So, the other day I bought those large rings and proceeded to punch holes in my snack bags and put the bags on the rings in numerical order. Ah, bliss!

Now I can find exactly the color/number I need and no muss or fuss. Guess it appeals to the Rabbit* in me.

Well, I'm off to have breakfast and get moving. DD is coming over and we are going wedding looking. Must get some new ideas!

* Parsley over at Seasonsofmymind.blogspot.com had this post the other day. Which Winnie the Pooh character are you? The first time I took the test it told me I was Eeyore. That bothered me to no end. Then I retook the test and it said I was Rabbit. Never take the test when you are feeling blue about your hubby working midnights!

Hmm... I always thought BFE was much further away, too!

I decided to put my extra DMC in a "place" too. I used zip lock bags with the general number on the bag (i.e.--3000) and then just put any with that number for the skeins in them. I like the big ring idea ...maybe that will be my next move.

Too funny about BFE and Eeyore! Since I love Pooh, guess I need to take this quiz!

Am I the only one who hasn't a clue as to what BFE is supposed to mean??? The rings are beautiful, btw. All those colors just begging to be stitched...

Great way to store your extra floss. I have a book with all the numbers and how many of each I have. Minus one when I take it out. They are in baggies, several colors to a baggie and in recycle soda boxes in a storage bin. Works great for me.

Lol, too funny! I`m loving the ring idea - at the mo I`ve got my little baggies in an old cake tin and have to rake through all of them, so I might just follow your example. After I`ve done the Pooh-test, that is :)

up here we use BFI....as in Idaho. I guess where ever tips your trailer. Have fun with those bags and good to have holes in them, especially if you are going to be coming down with any OOTPS.
Cheers and I am not going to do that test,,, just coz it's Friday and well you know what happens here of Fridays....
As always

Yeah, I don't know what BFE is either. But that's ok. The test said I'm Piglet. I would have thought Eeyore but after reading the blurb about Piglet....yes, I'm Piglet!
