Punchki, A Give-Away, and No Excuses!

Wanted to say Good Morning All. Except it seems to be the middle of the afternoon. I just got home from Cleveland. Went all that way to stop not at Crafty Ewe (although we did stop in there) but to go to Michael Angelo's Bakery.  Today was Punchki Day and by golly this year I was getting some!

I got a dozen to bring home and as you can see Logan has attacked them already. I was a danger on the road as I tried to eat my chocolate creme filled one while driving. Oh Yum!

After stopping at the bakery we had to go to Crafty Ewe. I mean really, how could I drive all the way to Cleveland for donuts and then not walk next door to the stash store?? I HAD to go. Oh, I got some patterns (more Christmas related), a floss, a few buttons/charms, and linen. But, I must just love this pattern -

because this is the second time I bought it! So, in an effort to not feel like a dunce - I'll give it away. Simply be the one to answer this question.

How many pieces of linen did I buy today?

If no one answers correctly I pick the person closest and if several people answer correctly I'll throw your names in a bowl and let Rob pick one. Let's close this on Friday Feb 15th. Please make sure I either have your email or it's in your profile.

That's two of the three items on the title of this post. This last section is specifically for Jayne! Look what came in the mail today my dear!

No excuses anymore! Absolutely none! I just wish the US government had returned my birth certificate with this. Poor Rob...his passport is still out there floating somewhere. Maybe tomorrow.

Time to go get busy with house stuff. Can't play all day and all night...sigh...time to be a grown up and do something around here to earn my keep! :)

Have a great day and keep stitching!
Denise

Glad you got your punchkis!!

They send the birth certificate in a separate envelope from your passport. I guess in case one of them gets lost you don't lose everything!

Ha! That reindeer is toooo cute!
I am going to guess that you bought 3 pieces of linen today!

My favourite number is 6 so I will have that as my guess for your linen. Fingers Crossed!!

Yum-O!!!

My guess is 5 pieces of linen. :-)

I was going to say that your BC will come in a separate mailing...at least that's what I remembered when I got the boys' passports. (You'd think I would have renewed mine by now but it's decades old and I'd almost be starting from scratch.)

Darn! I see I duplicated an answer so I'll change my guess to 6 pieces of linen.

Looks like a very productive trip! Yum!
What other stash did you get besides linen?

What an awesome day, Denise, I am totally envious :)
Now, before I wager a guess I must ask...What exactly are Punchki? I see them advertised on billboards everywhere...they look like a filled donut and sound nothing like they are spelled...ok there ya go with the question...Now, the answer to your question is: 3...3 pieces of linen (somehow The Count from Sesame Street comes to mind). Oh, and I must say how impressed I am that you only got 1 floss...that's real restraint in my book and something I can never do...like potato chips. ;)
PS...I'm curious about that passport, has our darling girl Jayne coerced ya into something? She's a cutie pie...
Enjoy the Punchki!
Hugs
Ma

I am guessing 2 Denise.
Now, once Lent begins you are staying away from punchkis and sweets right? It could work Denise!

Six pieces of linen.

You've got the pronunciation right, but the spelling is trickier: paczki. Sometimes I am completely unsure how the spelling and pronunciation go together. In Poland I had this name show up on my roster, "Przemyslaw." I just started laughing. :)
