The Birds Are Gone!

Mom called me a bit ago and asked if I've seen any birds today. I had just gotten in from mowing the yard and had to think. I haven't! She said she last heard them yesterday morning. hmm...

Not a robin, blackbird, or sparrow to be found. A rare chirp if you sit outside long enough. Only thing in the air is the occasional butterfly.

So, I looked on the 'net - Not thrilled with the answer I found. We'll see in a few days if the internet is correct or if the birds have lost their collective mind.

Hope your Wednesday isn't as eerily calm as mine is.

I don't know what you found on the net, but animals have great weather sinaibg capabilities and we're going to be sending some major rain and storms your way. Hail, wind, you name it, it's happening here today.

You must have sent them our way . . at least one. There was a hummingbird "drinking" from our middle "million bells" hanging basket on our front porch this morning. I don't think I have ever seen one close to ur front porch before . . . and I have even had hummingbird feeder out.

We were swarmed with those pesky grackles and cow birds late in the afternoon, so much so it felt like that old movie. They were everywhere, squawking and cawing, the dogs went nuts. You could see them by the dozens in each and every tree throughout our neighbour hood. EVERYWHERE I SAY. SO if'n ya want birds.......hmmmm,,,, well there is that paper.... somewhere...... just saying
Cheers to the little chirp'rs in your day.

I am sitting here reading my blog list with all my window open and you are right no birds and we usually have a lot of birds around. I will have to do some internet surfing to see why that is.
Happy Stitching
