Opinions please

I am rather surprised with myself. I went to my finished drawer and expected several more wintry items. These are the only 5 I found!

I would love to hear your opinions about how to finish these guys. I was thinking ornies for next years' tree. But, they don't scream Christmas to me. So, what should I do?

Any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated! Just keep in mind my finishing abilities are not fantastic! And while I have you thinking --- the LHN ornies from last year and then off course 2011 to come --- how are you finishing those? I've seen the finish with felt -- that's pretty but don't think that is me. And everything in pillows - would that look right?

I know I should go with my heart. But my heart is overruled by my tremendous lack of creativity! Does any one have these difficulties?

Some of last years' ornies I did flat -- DH and I have talked and I need to unstitch the hand stitching and fill them with fluff. He doesn't like them flat. Sigh!

Please help!
Denise

yeah well it was the second time out of bed at 8 silly typically it is 3 and as for the snow well kiddo, we may have had 12" all winter total so you wonder why I wish it upon a town in Ohio??? lol I just love getting my own way...

Now, regarding the stitching,,, hmmm I love each and every piece and am partial to doing the LHN's all on the same fabric and finishing them off all the same for consistency on the tree, HOWEVER I think the front folds are super simple and you can put them anywhere and,,, if you are concerned about the snowmen not really signifying Christmas, honey you need that passport to get up to see my collection of not so Christmasy people...
as always

how long is the most recent snowman finish???? I think it would make a great bookmark if it isn't too long...
The other stitched snowman, I can see on a tote bag...even the punchneedle one..is that what it is? I can see the one that says SNOW in a tuck pillow.
I am doing last year's LHN ornaments several different ways...just depends on what mood strikes when I go to finish!!!
Sorry, not much help, am I??

MMMM having pondered and thought .. i think the longer snowman in blue should be a bell pull, the one with the red border a little cushion and the others as ornaments .... does that help or not ..lol love mouse xxxx

I have an idea to make some stitching into a cube, you would need 6 finishes and it would be easy to stitch all straight lines, you could throw it on your sofa or bed. Glad to see you back stitching.

I like little wall hangings with cute little sayings on them!

I don't have an opinion on how to finish something, mainly because I never finish something. But omg I love the snowmen pictures in a row , they are just too cute.

Finishing is not a strong point for me so I can't wait to see what you do.

A fun little bell pull with the four stacked? I've also taken small frames I've found at thrift stores, crackle painted them or dinged them up with old buttons and beads to frame my smaller pieces...and as someone from Minnesota where we have snow at least 6 months of the year...Snowmen aren't just for Christmas! Many of the snowy sorts I design for Cross stitch aren't even close to being xmassy!

I have some other more "extreme" finishing techniques but I don't want to scare anyone!

Good luck!

I would frame Photobooth Snowmen and your punch needle snowman (larger one). The rest I would make into ornaments or pin keeps :o)

I think ornies would be nice but also Christmas Cards. You could make them into ornies and use in exchanges if they are not really doing it for you, I am sure anyone would love to recieve one.

Me, I'd frame the little buggers and display them in the winter . . or inthe summer when it is SO HOT a little snow would be welcome.
