Another One Bites the Dust...

One wonderful thing about recovering from bronchitis -- you hit that sweet spot where you don't want to push yourself too much but, you feel pretty doggone good. I've been there for a few days.

So --- I have another finish! I doubt the frame is still available. DH and I talked and we decided this should become a triangular pillow. More shopping! lol. Depending on the time I get off work - I might get to Jo-Ann's.

This one did cause me to stitch in a way I've never done before! I had a lamp between my feet pointing up and then I had the fabric in a hoop. I couldn't see the holes any other way. I wanted the snowflakes as near to the pattern as possible and this was my only way to accomplish that. I know it looked silly but it was quiet effective!
Christmas Snow
Waxing Moon Designs
 28ct Mystic Crystal cashel
recommended floss

Up next (you can see I already started) Winter by Notforgotten Farm. This looks to be another quick stitch.

I just want to shout out to those in the southern US. By the looks of the radar - you guys are getting hit hard. Please be careful out there!

Nothing much to report from my house. I've been in since Wednesday morning. DH and the boy have been out and about but not me.

Take care and be safe out there!
Denise

I did 1 cross stitch, once, that was on black cloth. It was a bitch! But, I put a white towel on my lap and it made it easier . . . but has soured me on doing colored cloth ever since.

I am still organizing my cross stitch patterns . . getting them in sleeves and in sections where likes are together. I may have to get a 33.5" 3-ring notebook for them, but that i.s fine. As long as they are all together.

Now, I need to figure out how I am going to finish my Christmas Ornaments I am making so they will fit in a flat envelope.

Such an adorable finish. I really like it. And I hear you on the colored fabric. I can't stitch on it, but maybe I'll try with the lamp trick. I don't care how it looks when I stitch! Love your new start too!

Beautiful!!!

Darker fabrics do tend to be more difficult, but I also seem to have that issue with Whites too!! My fave color so far is Oatmeal.

Glad you're feeling better and nice new start!!!

Glad to read you are feeling better. The piece is so nice. JoAnn's has 2 fabrics that are blue with stars..one in the quilt section...and the other in a nice flannel...

Love your finish! I can't wait to see how it looks as a pillow. I guess you will be missing this storm. We will be getting it tomorrow night in PA so maybe a snow day Wednesday?!?!? Snow days are made for stitching! Keep on feeling better and don't push yourself too hard.

Would you believe I was just looking at this chart the other day thinking I really should stitch it this year? Yours looks wonderful, Denise--that fabric is perfect for it...

Hope you're feeling 100% very soon. I'm battling a nasty cold myself--ugh!
